“It doesn’t matter what anybody else is doing with their vibration, it only matters what you are doing. You cannot desire something—and notice that it isn’t coming—without offering two contradictory vibrations that won’t let it come.” (a quote by Abraham as relayed by Esther Hicks)

[INTERNET MORALITY TALES can sometimes be found among the anonymous, online parables that cross our e-mail inboxes day in and day out. Most go straight to the computer “trash can”, but once in a while, we find a “jewel in the rough”. This one is worth a minute of your time . . . . read and enjoy.]

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, “Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!” This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage Truck.”

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage: full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you.

“Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.” my wise cab driver added.

“Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.”

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so….. Love the people who treat you right; pray for the ones who don’t.

“When your heart is singing, you are allowing Well-being. When you are appreciating, you are allowing Well-being. When you are yelling at somebody, you’re not. When you’re feeling insecure, you’re not. When you’re frustrated, you’re not.” (a quote by Abraham as relayed by Esther Hicks)

“The most important thing that you can teach your children is that Well-being abounds. And that Well-being is naturally flowing to them. And that if they will relax and reach for thoughts that feel good, and do their best to appreciate, then they will be less likely to keep the Well-being away, and more likely to allow it to flow into their experience. Teach them the art of allowing.” (a quote by Abraham as relayed by Esther Hicks)

“If one truly desires a quantum leap in spiritual evolution for his brethren, let him set up an ensign and remember the ancient law that we become as that which we gaze upon, or that which draws our attention.” (from the writings Of JJ Dewey)
